WHO Documentation Center took part in the XIX Convention of Pediatricians of Russia

5-7 March 2022 WHO Documentation Center took part in the XIX Convention of Pediatricians of Russia with international participation “Actual Problems of Pediatrics”, where experts presented WHO publications in Russian on topics such as pediatrics, primary health care and community health, infectious disease control, etc.

"The WHO Documentation Center regularly makes a suitable selection of books for leading medical events and distributes them free of charge by agreement with the organizers of conferences, meetings and other events," said Alexey Novozhilov, Head of International Affairs Department.

The Convention brought together experts and scientists, academic teachers, students, pediatricians and other specialists working with children, including nurses and paramedics from Russian Federation, CIS countries and far abroad to discuss important and acute problems of modern pediatrics, as well as exchange clinical, scientific and teaching experience.

The key topics of the Convention:

  • Primary medical care for children: challenges and solutions
  • Scientific and practical aspects of the pediatrics development
  • COVID-19 and children
  • Social pediatrics and quality audit of healthcare delivery for children
  • Preventive vaccination in pediatrics, family preventive vaccination
  • Topical issues of pediatric dermatology, pediatric surgery and orthopedic traumatology, pediatric allergology and immunology

The distribution of WHO publications at the XIX Convention of Pediatricians was attended by: Tatiana Kaygorodova, Elena Karpukhina and Margarita Gorbunova.
