RIH Director moderated an expert session at the Future Technologies Forum.
“The issues of value-based healthcare have been actively discussed recently both in our country and abroad. This happens for the reason that value-based healthcare is not only concerned with healthcare organization transforming for human needs, it is not only concerned with new models and new approaches to healthcare. It means how all this should create maximum value for human health”, said Olga Kobyakova, RIH Director.
“This topic was discussed today at the site of the Future Technology Forum. Why is it important? Forum expert sessions tell about new breakthrough techniques, methods and approaches that allow us to achieve fantastic results in diseases prevention and treatment. We couldn’t even dream about many of these things just recently. But all these innovations are quite expensive. That is why the process of increasing healthcare expenses is noticeable all over the world. In Russia, as in many other developed countries, there is a process of the 2nd demographic transition. This means that the population structure is changing. It is getting older, the share of elderly people is increasing, and they reasonably require more attention and greater expenditures from healthcare system. So a balance is needed here. To achieve maximum benefit, maximum value for individuals.”
