RIH experts took part in the International Forum on Public Health Innovations and Informatization

The event was held from September 14 to 16 in Bishkek, Kyrgyz Republic. The International Forum on Public Health Innovation and Informatization was timed to the 85th anniversary of the first scientific medical institution in the Kyrgyz state. Today its successor is the National Institute of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The forum touched upon a wide range of topical issues of modern healthcare - from new approaches to diseases diagnosis and treatment to digitalization and telemedicine.

Olga Khodakova, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Head of RIH Department of Health Care Organization’s Scientific Basis, made a report on "Innovative approaches to organization of primary health care: options for organizational solutions" within the frames of the breakout session on international cooperation in implementation of scientific projects on communicable and non-communicable diseases.

The National Institute of Public Health of the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic specializes in the problems of preventive medicine in communicable and non-communicable diseases, including educational aspects. Its staff made a significant contribution to infectology - prevention and elimination of many infections (plague, cholera, smallpox, etc.).
