Work results over 2023 and development strategies in 2024 were defined at an extended meeting of RIH Scientific Expert Council.
The Scientific Expert Council was established in January 2023 in order to develop RIH research capacity, provide leadership in the field of healthcare organization, health economics, public health and digital transformation. The Council is a permanent body for expert and analytical support of the Institute's activities, and it consists of 15 members.
In 2023, the expert status was granted to 52 employees of medical organizations, information and analytical centers and research organizations in ten key areas, such as: “Workforce policies in healthcare”, “Health economics”, “Leadership in healthcare”, “Demography”, “Evaluation of healthcare system efficiency and effectiveness”, “Development of organizational solutions for healthcare”, “Healthcare digital transformation”, “Sociological research in healthcare”, “Public health”, “Territorial planning”. For a short period of time more than 50 expert group opinions on introduction of new scientific developments into the healthcare system were prepared.
Over the year, the Institute of RIH Collaborating Centers was replenished with 23 organizations from different cities of Russia – Vologda, Grozny, Izhevsk, Kaluga, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Samara, Stupino, Tomsk, Khabarovsk, Chita, Yakutsk, Yaroslavl, etc., as well as from CIS countries – Gomel, Republic of Belarus.
Forty-two scientific project teams have been formed on the most relevant research topics, both within the frames of the state assignment and cross-country research. It would be desirable to note that scientific research is carried out in organizations with different ownership actually in all federal regions of the Russian Federation.

Within the frames of cooperation with the Republic of Belarus, a study and comprehensive analysis of consumption, knowledge and attitude of Belarus population to antibiotic resistance problem is being finalized in order to develop measures to counter antimicrobial resistance, comparing the results with a similar study conducted in the Russian Federation.

In 2024, the Scientific Expert Council within RIH Development Strategy until 2030 will continue research and expert activities, including new State assignments, as well as expand Collaborating Centers’ geography with new RIH experts’ involvement in conducting joint scientific and practical activities essential for healthcare systems’ further development.
