Health promotion and NCD prevention strategies at the workplace

What can stimulate and motivate employers to implement programs and strategies for health promotion and NCD prevention at the workplace was discussed at the 2023 closing meeting of the CIS Network of Institutes for Public Health and Healthcare Digital Transformation held on December 18 in online format.

The meeting was attended by representatives from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Uzbekistan. The countries shared their experience in motivating employers to introduce health-promoting measures among their employees, and also told about risk prevention assessment as a factor in maintaining health at the workplace.

A total of 9 Network meetings were held during 2023 on the following topics:

1) patient-centered and patient-oriented healthcare, as well as evaluation of satisfaction with medical care;

2) joint actions plan of the CIS member states to prevent the negative tobacco impact on public health;

3) digital maturity of healthcare system;

4) prevalence reduction of excessive and irrational nutrition with increased content of saturated fats, trans fatty acids, free carbohydrates and salt among the CIS member states’ population;

5) healthcare system human resources;

6) medical decision support systems (MDSS);

7) improving primary health care efficiency;

8) artificial intelligence - approaches to implementation in practical healthcare;

9) measures to stimulate and motivate employers to implement programs and activities on promoting health and preventing NCDs at the workplace.
