CIS Designated Organization of Public Health and Healthcare Digital Transformation held a meeting on digital maturity with WHO expert participation

During the meeting the participants' reports were presented, which reflected the prospects and challenges in this area.

CIS Designated Organization of Public Health and Healthcare Digital Transformation held a session on digital maturity among the CIS member states.

The Republic of Armenia was represented by Diana Andreasyan, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Public Health named after S. Avdalbekyan. Dmitry Ruzanov, Director of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Medical Technologies, Informatization, Management and Economics of Healthcare, spoke on behalf of the Republic of Belarus.

Gahraman Akhverdiyev, Director of the Center for Public Health and Reforms, participated in the meeting from the Republic of Azerbaijan. The Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by Rashid Ismailov, Director of the eHealth Standards Department.

Vitaly Chumachok, Director of the eHealth Center under the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan, participated in the event from the Kyrgyz Republic. Mokhira Giesova, Chief Specialist of LLC "IT-MED", participated from the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The Russian side was represented by Kirill Sidorov, Head of RIH Regulatory Service.

During the meeting, report "Using digital transformation to improve health in the WHO European Region" was presented by Karapet Davtyan, WHO expert on medical data and health information systems.

According to Davtyan, WHO regional action plan for digital health has been developed for the WHO European Region for the next seven years - from 2023 to 2023.

"It is necessary to promote digital health systems to improve regional health and support countries in using and scaling digital transformation to improve health, as well as aligning digital investments with health system needs," Karapet Davtyan said in his speech.

"Pandemic lessons have prioritized the task of moving towards data-based management, which is particularly relevant for shaping regional health solutions", Kirill Sidorov emphasized. "If we are talking about cross-country cooperation, the quality of communication plays a big role: comprehensibility, timeliness and completeness of data are becoming increasingly important."

The event was held with RIH support.
