The BRICS Health Systems Research Network is a permanent international platform dedicated to strengthening health systems through collaborative research, policy dialogue, and knowledge exchange among member countries.
The Network supports countries in addressing complex and emerging public health challenges by fostering forward-looking analysis, developing coordinated approaches, and promoting the systematic exchange of best practices and innovative solutions.
Purpose and Scope
The Network aims to enhance the effectiveness and resilience of health systems across BRICS countries by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and the development of joint policy and research approaches.

Institutional Development
The Network was established as a strategic initiative during Russia’s BRICS Presidency in 2024 by the Central Research Institute of Health. In 2025, it was formally designated as the BRICS Health Systems Research Network, reflecting its expanded scope and long-term role as a platform for sustained cooperation.
