The Office collects processes and analyses medical and demographic data on the prevention of risk factors and their medical and social consequences. It evaluates approaches to the prevention of non-communicable diseases, as well as monitors and evaluates legal regulation in the field of public health promotion and risk prevention.
The Office develops proposals to reduce alcohol and tobacco consumption, promote healthy nutrition, reduce the prevalence of obesity, increase life expectancy, and achieve healthy longevity. It participates in public events that raise these topics, speaks on television, prepares popular science texts for the media.
